Have you recently made a change to your auto policy or made a payment over the phone? If so, you may have spoken to employee Brad Hencke. He is one of two Ag Workers team members who has switched positions and joined the policy service team in the past few weeks. His friendly and personable nature has allowed for a seamless transition and allowed him to fit into the department nicely.
I was able to speak with Brad and learn more about his role at the company and a few facts about his life outside of work.
Role in the Company
Brad Hencke has been an employee at Ag Workers Insurance for seven years, but his relationship with the company started much sooner. His journey began when he was first introduced to Ag Workers by his father, Art Hencke. Art, now retired, worked for Ag Workers for 30 years. Brad has continued the family tradition and is an Ag Workers employee and a 3rd generation policyholder.
Brad has had the opportunity to learn and work in several departments throughout his time here. His first position was as a summer intern, where he worked alongside the marketing department attending conventions all across Texas. As a full-time employee, he has worked as an Underwriter Assistant to the President of Worth Casualty and as a Compliance Auditor. He is now serving as a Policy Service Representative, assisting our insured’s needs. Brad says he has enjoyed the transition and getting to converse with policyholders daily.
Ag Workers has a family environment, and it is no surprise that one of Brad’s favorite parts about working here is his coworkers’ friendliness. Brad has a kind nature that allows him to start a conversation with just about anyone. If you see him in the breakroom or the hallways at work, he always makes a point to say hello. It is no wonder policyholders enjoy speaking with him and sharing their stories.
Brad grew up in Aledo, Texas, with his parents and two brothers, Brian and Blake, who also work at Ag Workers. He now resides in Fort Worth, Texas, with his wife and their dog, Hannah. It won’t be long before a new addition arrives because Brad and his wife recently found out they are expecting a baby boy in March. They are beyond excited to be new parents and are ready to welcome their son. Everyone at Ag Workers looks forward to meeting the precious bundle of joy in just a few short months.
Brad is a proud Texas Tech graduate and has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He continues to support his alma mater and roots on the Red Raiders any chance he gets. Watching baseball and college football are just two of his favorite hobbies. He also enjoys the great outdoors and can often be found fishing, hunting, golfing, or doing yard work on his days off. Once the pandemic is over, you will likely find Brad at a concert cheering on one of his favorite bands or traveling with his family. He and his wife had a trip planned to Germany in May that was put on hold due to COVID but are hoping to reschedule for next year.
Brad is a valuable asset to the company and reassures customers that their needs are being taken care of. We are fortunate to have someone with his personality assisting policyholders daily.
